# Burn

One of the key features of FOG is its burn function. The burn function works by reducing the total supply of FOG tokens in the market. When a user initiates a transaction using FOG, 2% of the tokens involved in that transaction are burned and removed from circulation. This means that the total supply of FOG is gradually reduced over time, which can help to increase the value of the remaining tokens in circulation.
