# Staking

At the core of the FOG Metaverse Token lies its powerful staking functionality. Through staking, users can lock a certain number of tokens in a designated wallet for a predetermined period, effectively "staking" their claim on the network and contributing to its overall security and stability. As a reward for their contributions, users can earn additional FOG Metaverse Tokens on an hourly basis, adding to their overall holdings and creating a steady stream of passive income.

In addition to these rewards, FOG Metaverse also offers a direct staking incentive of 50%. This means that users can earn a share of the profits generated through staking activities, with FOG Metaverse itself contributing 50% of the overall staking rewards.
